What to use to clean a dogs ears.
To clean your dog s ears without causing harm you want to start on the outside and work your way in but only until you start to feel resistance.
The best place to clean your dog s ears is in the tub or outside.
Vinegar can help with ear infections and ear mites.
The vinegar smell will dissipate in a half hour or so.
If you try to push further in you can damage your dog s ear so err on the side of caution.

Also you should never use alcohol or hydrogen peroxide to clean dog ears because that can be irritating.
Do not use this mixture to clean the dog s.
To a 1 2 teaspoon of boric acid add 2 ounces of white vinegar.
A cotton ball or gauze dog ear cleaning solution and a towel avoid using cotton tipped swabs q tips.
To clean your dog s ears make a mixture of 1 2 vinegar and 1 2 rubbing alcohol and let it come to room temperature.
Just like with human ears q tips tend to pack more junk down the ear canal rather than getting any of the wax out of there.
Add in a few drops of rubbing alcohol and a few drops of povidone iodine.
Never use q tips to clean dog ears.
Then dip a cotton ball into the liquid and squeeze out any excess fluid so the ball is just damp.
At any point of the process if your dog yelps in pain stop immediately.

Wet a cotton ball with ear rinse and wipe the part of the ear that you can easily see the outer flap.
To clean dog ears with vinegar use the same method as above but substitute apple cider vinegar for the peroxide.
Next lift your dog s ears and rub the inside of the flap with the cotton ball.
If your dog s ears are light pink odorless and not inflamed then a cleaning may not be.
